Dark fiction

The last couple of weeks, I wrote two short pieces of fiction, each around 3,000 words. I wrote them specifically for an anthology that required writers to write short fiction within 1,500 words, but since I couldn’t actually interfere with how my story flew, I decided to keep writing and finish at the finish line when the story was done. And so, they ended up longer than what the anthology instructions indicated, and they may actually be the nucleus of a collection of dark fiction short stories.

I’m also trying to figure out the best thing to do with my short fiction—how to put them in collections and anthologies, and send them out into the world.
